Well, it was a little crazy making it happen, but we squeezed in a family beach trip this year. It was very nice to get away and have quality time as a family. Our 4 met my cousin, Desiree and her family (plus 2 friends) in the Destin area. My parents were supposed to join, but Dad caught pneumonia so her friend Lynda came instead!

This pic is of Kate on the first day. She wasn't quite used to the sand yet. She fell down and WOULD NOT put her hands down so she could get up! It was pretty funny!

I love this picture, because it really captures life right now. Kate HATES it when Daddy hugs or loves on me. At the beach she started her first 2-word sentence "My Mama." It's perfect!!

Caroline and her family were there the same week we were! It was fun to see our friends on vacation a couple times. One day we went to the beach with them and then out to dinner one night.

All in all it was a great trip! The beginning of the week had us running on and off the beach due to rain, but we had our toes in the sand plenty. We ate out twice and cooked the rest. Patrick and Desiree brought all this stuffed meat from Louisiana and it was so good! There were ice cream runs, game playing and lots of great conversation! Can't wait till next year!

That's going to be us in another day! I'm so bummed when vacations are over! Glad you had a fun week - we've only been to Destin once but loved it!
